Today my family went with me to my cancer appointment. I thought that I would be seeing a different doctor to get my test results; however, that was not the case.
My doctor showed up with all kinds of good news.
Stage One Cancer. No evidence of it being anywhere else in my body. Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. CURABLE. Heart echo – good results.
Doc and I had a heart-to-heart. My family asked their questions. She was a different person today. I went to the clinic this morning convinced that I was going to ask for a new doctor, and left feeling 100% safe in her hands.
So, moving forward, the port procedure will take place this Friday, and chemo will begin next Monday.
I’m ready! I had the chance to tell her that I am not a high maintenance kind of patient, but once I fully understand what is going on and my questions have been answered then I’m good to go.
I actually gave her a hug!
