I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Twitter for years.

It’s not so much what people say that annoys me, because let’s face it the block button works just fine. What annoys me the most about Twitter is shadowbanning and censorship.

I’ve been shadowbanned before and Twitter has stopped me from posting a tweet or two just to be sure I want to post it. I might have used “STFU” or called someone as “asshole.” Twitter can be really fussy when someone with a conservative point of view makes a comment.

Censorship is still alive and well on Twitter, at least it was until a few days ago when Elon Musk bought it. I can’t wait to see the final outcome of his purchase once it is finalize. However, things have already started to change.

Various Twitter people are seeing an uptick in their followers. That’s not true for me because I’m just a nobody on Twitter, but really popular people are suddenly seeing thousands of new followers. Kinda makes you think – right?

Another thing going on at Twitter and on the news, if we are being honest, is the left has become completely unhinged over Elon Musk buying Twitter. Free speech is suddenly the enemy. Image that … free speech hurts people.

Elon Musk is a billionaire, they say, who has no right to own Twitter. Say what? Does that same logic apply to the owners of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.? Apparently not because those sites censor free speech.

Shaking my head …

My thought:  After years of being called every name in the book by liberals, and after years of Twitter suppressing and banning free speech for conservatives, and after Twitter banned the Hunter Biden story just before the 2020 election (I’m obsessed with the Hunter Biden story), we can finally call out the left for what they really are – fucking assholes – and no one is going to censor us.

Liberals are threatening to move to Canada and close down their Twitter accounts. To these assholes (I do love that word), we can help you move provided you never come back.

As for those who say they are leaving Twitter – I love it. Now, I can find their accounts and block their asses just in case they try to sneak back in and I will never have to see them ever again.

Stay tuned, America! It’s about to get even more interesting come November.

Peace out … ~ce

  1. I had an account many years ago but, couldn’t find a reason to post anything. I watched as it turned into a bubbling cesspool. Too many nasty people…

    1. Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter, I am hopeful for a more pleasant experience. As a conservative, it’s not always easy to voice an opinion that Twitter doesn’t shadowban. You are right about too many nasty people, but I’ve been able to connect with several who are really nice people.
